Empathy
Brainy has empathy powers that allow him both passive and projective empathy, so that sometimes he can sense emotions or manipulate someone's emotions.
ICly, while he'll do what he has to sometimes with enemies, he definitely won't like it, and he'll be even more hesitant to use either type of empathy without permission on allies because of consent issues.
OOCly, I will absolutely ask people for permission before having him "read" or project to someone.
However, if you want to hard no ahead of time, you can opt out here. You can note whether you're opting out of passive empathy, projective empathy, or both.
CRAU
Brainy is a CRAU. He's pretty well versed in the idea of multiverse theory so if he meets a different version of someone he's met from another universe he'll assume they're a dimensional variant. (He's even met two dimensional variants of himself). He's also not the type to flaunt any personal knowledge he has.
But if you'd like to opt out of that, you can do that here too.
